Gladsom Home Welcomes Eight New Brothers to the Community

Mangalore, July 20, 2025 – A spirit of joy and gratitude filled Gladsom Home as it warmly welcomed eight new brothers who have joined the community to continue their formation journey.

The occasion began with a prayer service presided over by Vicar General Msgr Maxim L. Noronha and conducted by Fr Vincent D’Souza, Spiritual Director of Gladsom Home.

A short welcoming programme followed, during which Rev. Fr Antony Clany D’Souza, Rector, introduced the new brothers and shared a brief history of the house. The gathering was graced by the presence of several esteemed priests, including Fr Benjamin Pinto, Fr Lanson Pinto, Fr Michael Lobo, and Fr Jerald Lobo OFM Cap, along with the parents of the candidates.

In his address, Msgr Maxim L. Noronha emphasized the importance of study, discipline, and personal growth during their stay at Gladsom Home, highlighting how this formation would prepare them for ministry and equip them to engage meaningfully with people from diverse walks of life.

The programme was thoughtfully organised by the Rector, students, and Regent Br Aashton D’Souza. Fr Vincent D’Souza proposed the vote of thanks, bringing the event to a joyful conclusion.

This welcome marks an exciting new chapter for the eight new brothers as they begin their journey of formation, growth, and commitment at Gladsom Home. The entire community extends its prayers and best wishes for their future.
