Gladsom Home for Students, Minor Seminary of the Diocese of Mangalore, joyfully welcomed Br Austin Vas as the new Regent for the academic year 2026–2027. A simple and meaningful welcome programme was organised in the house, bringing together the Formators and all the brothers of Gladsom Home..
The programme commenced with a prayer service led by Rev. Fr Antony Clany D’Souza, Rector of Gladsom Home. In his welcome message, Fr Rector introduced Br Austin to the Gladsom family and highlighted the mission, values, and importance of the formation house in shaping future priests.
Following this, Br Austin Vas shared his happiness and gratitude on returning to Gladsom Home, a place where he himself had experienced formation as a Minor Seminarian. He thanked the community for the warm welcome and expressed his willingness to accompany and support the brothers in their formation journey. The presence of his parents and family members made the occasion more special and joyful.
Br Austin Vas belongs to the St. Joseph The Worker, Neermarga. He completed his Philosophy studies at St Joseph Inter-Diocesan Seminary, Jeppu, Mangalore, before taking up this new responsibility as Regent.
